A retired four-star Navy admiral who is reportedly being vetted as a possible Hillary Clinton running mate has strong ties to Atlantic Beach.
James G. Stavridis, currently the dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Medford, Mass., has been named by the New York Times and other news outlets as a possible top contender for the VP spot on the Democratic presidential ticket.
