A documentary about the 2012 murder of 17-year-old Jacksonville teen Jordan Davis and the arrest and conviction of Michael Dunn for that crime has been selected as one of 15 finalists in the 88th Academy Awards in the of Documentary Feature.
Director Marc Silver’s film, “3 1/2 Minutes, Ten Bullets,” was one of 124 films originally submitted in the category and now members of the Academy’s Documentary Branch will select five nominees from the remaining list of 15.
