Gov. Rick Scott made the decision to appoint a St. Augustine man to the vacant position of St. Johns County Clerk of Courts as well as assigning two people to the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, according to a news release Friday from the Governor’s Office.
Hunter Conrad, 29, will serve as St. Johns clerk until Jan. 2, 2017.
He starts immediately and will fill the position left open after Cheryl Strickland resigned Sept. 18.
Strickland was in her fifth term as clerk after being elected in 1996.
