A mixed crowd of sports fans and political enthusiasts gathered around the bar and filled most of the tables at the Players Grille on Hendricks Avenue on Wednesday as potential Republican candidates for president argued with each other on the television screens.
Some people were confused that their weren’t more TVs dedicated to Game 2 of the World Series, but they were outnumbered by people cheering for political barbs among the candidates.
The Republican Party of Duval County hosted the event and signed up any potential voters who wanted to join their group.
