Mayor Curry appoints general counsel after unanimous recommendation from search committee

Mayor Lenny Curry appointed Jason R. Gabriel as general counsel for the city of Jacksonville Friday after a unanimous recommendation from the search committee.

Gabriel has been serving as the city’s general counsel for more than a year after Cindy Laquidara stepped down from the position July 1, 2014.

Gabriel has been with the General Counsel’s Office since 2010.
