The second Thursday of Ramadan brought people from around Jacksonville to the Istanbul Cultural Center on Southside Boulevard for an evening of interaction, food and prayer.
Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic calendar and Muslims fast from dawn to dusk each day.
As dusk fell, Muslims sat at tables with members of other religious groups and shared their traditions over a meal of Turkish food.
