A man walking in a rural area on Jacksonville’s Northside noticed a shoe in the road Tuesday and then found a body in the nearby woods along with the matching shoe.
The man told police the shoe looked brand new so he went looking for the matching one in the 6100 block of Spring Hammock Road, Sgt. Michael Paul said. When he walked toward the woods “he saw the other shoe, but then he found a body attached to that shoe,” Paul said.
