A 23-year-old Jacksonville man was shot and killed on Jacksonville’s Westside late Monday, police said.
Shortly before 11 p.m. officers responding to the 5300 block of Carder Street between Lake Shore Boulevard and Cassat Avenue found Markus Lernard Tanner on the side of the road.
Police said Tanner, of the 3700 block of Sudbury Avenue, was taken to UF Health Jacksonville where he died.
Witnesses said they saw a man on a bicycle speaking with the victim before he shot him, police said.
