A federal judge sentenced a 43-year-old Indiana man to 41 months in prison Monday after officers identified him in September as a sex offender when they encountered him in a Jacksonville Wal-Mart and learned he moved to the area without registering with authorities, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Ricardo Lamont Irvine of Evansville, Ind., pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to register as a sex offender in December, according to court records.
