A 33-year-old Jacksonville man who shot a man to death during an argument with a dancer at a club in 2012 was sentenced to 40 years in prison Friday, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Stanley Kelvin Merriweather pleaded guilty to a second-degree murder charge in April in the shooting death of 30-year-old Glenn Adams Jr., according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Police said Adams intervened in an argument Merriweather was having over money with a dancer at Mascara’s Gentlemen’s Club at 3225 Southside Blvd. in October 2012.
