Authorities arrested a man in Duval County April 1 and transferred him to St. Johns County Friday to face charges after a donated Christmas tree was stolen from a pet shelter in November, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
George Glenn Cockhren, 51, of Cypress Road was arrested on a burglary and petty theft warrant with a $26,000 bond, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He also had a warrant on a charge of battery on a law enforcement officer that had no bond.
