A tornado touched down Wednesday in Elkton causing damage to sheds and horse stables in the area but no reported injuries, according to the National Weather Service.
The tornado touched down in Elkton on a day when multiple weather systems hit Northeast Florida.
The tornado registered as an EF-0 with winds estimated at 80 miles per hour near Florida 207, said Ryan Walsh, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
He said a few small trees were knocked down and some residents lost power but an EF-0 tornado is the smallest on the scale.
