The Lake City Police Department is investigating the robbery and rape of a 23-year-old woman at gunpoint inside her home Tuesday night after four or five men forced their way through the front door.
The woman was at her home near Northwest Early Street and Northwest Sago Glen when she heard knocking at the door about 11:45 p.m., according to the Police Department. When she opened the door, a man with a gun pushed his way through.
The man pointed the gun at her head and three or four others entered the home and started flipping furniture and opening drawers, police said.
