A Jacksonville woman who took the law into her own hands and shot a man to death in February 2014 in front of his two young children faces up to life in prison and, with that sentence, the grandfather of those children is finally able to get some relief.
Karla Davis, 38, thought someone in a vehicle parked outside her home had burglarized her home when she fired at the car, striking 22-year-old Ian Klinedinst in the head, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
On Friday, Davis was convicted of second-degree murder in the shooting death.
