A 38-year-old Jacksonville man who was caught on surveillance video shooting a man to death in 2009 was convicted Thursday and faces a mandatory life sentence in prison, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Anthony Jevon Mincey was convicted of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon, the State Attorney’s Office said.
Devaughn Durham, 21, was at Whitner and McConihe streets in March 2009 when he was shot in the leg and later died at a hospital, police said.
