Terrica Martin was in the back of her Jacksonville home in the 1900 block of West Fifth Street when her 20-year-old son stumbled through the front door and collapsed on the ground with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Zarius Quan-Larone Dunson died that night, and three months later the State Attorney’s Office has charged a 16-year-old friend as an adult in the fatal shooting, according to court records.
Martin said her son was on the front porch with his friend — who was celebrating his 16th birthday — when the teen dropped a gun and it blew a hole in Dunson’s chest.
