A 27-year-old St. Augustine man was found dead near an all-terrain vehicle Friday near Florida 206 after an apparent crash, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
Robert Michael Humphreys was reported missing earlier in the day and was found by deputies after the ATV was reported abandoned on a stretch of railroad tracks, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The deputies attempted to revive Humphreys but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
