A suspect was taken into custody Tuesday night after a fatal fistfight between two men at an apartment on Jacksonville’s Southside.
A witness called authorities about 8 p.m. to report a disturbance in the Herring Walk Apartments in the 7400 block of Powers Avenue, Sgt. Craig Waldrup said.
He said a fight occurred between two men who appeared to be roommates and no weapons were used.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene and it’s unclear what started the disagreement, Waldrup said.
