The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shared a piece of new information with the public Friday as part of an investigation into a Monday attack on an 8-year-old girl in a wooded area near Jacksonville University.
The girl had trouble recalling any information as she’s had a rough time recovering in a hospital but Friday she was able to shed a little light on the person who attacked her, Chief Tom Hackney said.
He said the girl told investigators her attacker was a black male with short hair.
